OVERVIEW

The HR Project Manager will lead and manage HR projects that support our business goals and drive organizational success. You will report to the Senior Director of Human Resources and collaborate closely with HR leaders, business stakeholders, and project teams to ensure the successful delivery of HR programs and initiatives.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the planning, execution, and implementation of HR projects from initiation to closure
  • Develop project plans, timelines, milestones, and resource allocation to ensure project objectives are met on time and within budget
  • Collaborate with the HR team across functions, business leaders, and cross-functional teams across ACS to gather project requirements, define project scope, and align project goals with business objectives
  • Communicate project updates, risks, and mitigation strategies to stakeholders at all levels to ensure transparency and alignment
  • Develop change management strategies and communication plans to support project implementations and facilitate organizational change
  • Identify potential impacts of change on employees and stakeholders and develop strategies to address resistance and promote adoption
  • Manage multiple HR programs and initiatives simultaneously, including talent management, performance management, learning and development, and diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect (DEIR) initiatives
  • Monitor program progress, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and provide regular updates to senior management on program effectiveness and outcomes
  • Utilize HR data and analytics to assess project impact, measure program effectiveness, and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Partner with People Analytics Manager to prepare and present HR reports, dashboards, and insights to support data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement
  • Identify project risks, develop risk mitigation strategies, and proactively address issues to ensure project success and minimize disruptions
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, HR policies, and best practices throughout project lifecycles.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION:Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Project Management, or related field (Master's degree preferred) or equivalent in work experience

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • 8+ years of experience in project management, HR, or related roles
  • Strong project management skills with experience leading complex projects with cross-functional teams
  • The ability to problem-solve through problem identification (what is the problem), solution assessment (what can be done), problem documentation (document for future) and problem response (implementing a solution)
  • Continuously works with a critical eye to seek creative solutions and opportunities for process improvement
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to leverage data and analytics to drive decision-making and measure project success
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Knowledge of HR principles, practices, and regulations
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills
  • Proficiency in project management tools, MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and HRIS systems

PREFERRED SKILLS

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is highly desirable
  • Proficiency with UKGPro and Success Factors
Division
Position Summary

This position will be primarily based in the Washington, D.C. office. The Human Resources Division employees work a hybrid schedule, consisting of working onsite two days per work, as decided by functional area. The balance of the week is open to working remotely, though employees are always welcome onsite each day if they choose.
