CONSTRUCTION PROJECT MANAGER

  • Support on site construction projects by managing schedules and vendor deliveries
  • Perform on site safety observation
  • Ensure that all permitting requirements are met
  • Perform site walks with the construction manager foreman
  • Manage the administrative aspects of construction projects such as cost /budget control, processing vendor invoices, issuing invoices to customers, and general customer correspondences, etc.
  • Works alongside the construction foreman to ensure timely and responsible procurement for all job site requirements.
  • Files and controls the process for all site-specific project permitting requirements.

SAFETY COORDINATOR

  • Safety Coordinator: This role ensures companywide compliance with all internal and external safety programs, and federal, state, and local HAZMAT requirements. This role also controls the companywide preventative maintenance and PPE/safety equipment programs.
  • Ensures effective safety training for all staff and provides team members with an understanding of expectations at McKenna external sites.
  • Enters and maintains data on all contractor safety websites to maintain eligibility to work on client jobsites.
  • Schedules and completes all required external audits to maintain compliance for safety programs.
  • Performs OSHA mandate site safety observations.
  • Owns, and performs all requirements associated with all Internal and External safety program requirements and is the branch Safety Manager for the FloWorks safety program.

OPERATIONS/FACILITIES:

  • Facilities Coordinator: This role ensures McKenna Engineering facilities and equipment are maintained by scheduling maintenance and repair as needed. (e.g.: forklift repairs).
  • Participates in the development of short and long-term goals, plan, and policies; oversees the development and execution and provides input to planning as needed.
  • Proactively works with other functional areas within McKenna Engineering (Purchasing, Inventory Management, Engineering, and Field Crew) as well as Sales (Outside and Inside) to identify and address pain points as well as areas to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Works alongside operations and company leadership to standardize organizational procedures.
  • Proactively manages facilities and equipment preventive maintenance resulting in an up time >98% for all job critical equipment.
  • Purchases and ensures availability of all consumable requirements for all facilities including but not limited to gases, propane, paint, and PPE.
  • Manages all external Hazmat programs, websites, registrations, and documentation to ensure federal, state, local, and customer compliance for all regulations and requirements.

GENERAL SKILLS:

  • Strong understanding of OSHA/Federal, state, local and industry safety standards
  • Ability to train and mentor staff at all levels in workplace, construction, shop floor, and general safety standards
  • Excellent time management, organizational skills
  • Strong research/problem-solving skills, including the ability to step away from the detail and look at the bigger picture for process improvement opportunities.
  • Comfort with developing a (fact-based) point of view and lobbying for it with senior Sales and Operations organization.
  • Strong Microsoft Office, Excel skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Qualifications/Experience/Competencies

  • 3 or more years of work experience leading/managing safety programs and 3 or more years light/medium manufacturing or construction experience.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Prolonged periods of walking or standing at a jobsite
  • Must be able to frequently lift up to 10 pounds at a time
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.
