Description

The Division of Population Behavioral Health is seeking to hire a Communications Specialist to join the UCLA Prevention Center of Excellence. You will assist with content creation, social media, email marketing, and other promotional materials. Primary duties include:

  • Researching and developing training handouts and materials (flyers, banners, presentations, etc.)
  • Creating content for websites, marketing emails, and blogs affiliated with the division
  • Maintaining internal and external distribution list and communication portals (newsletters, emails, social media, etc.)
  • Assisting with designing and implementing campaigns
  • Updating website and online learning center content
  • Supporting the filming and editing of campus and community-based presentations and seminars
Please note this is a 1-year contract that may convert to career.

Salary: $71,500/yr - $154,900/yr
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in marketing, business communication, or related field (highly preferred)

Experience in marketing and advertisement

Knowledge of collaborative workgroup and reporting tools (SalesForce, Access, and SharePoint)

Experience with using social media and email marketing systems for marketing

Knowledge of website and online learning center programming tools including but not limited to Drupal

Knowledge of Google Drive/Team Drive application

Knowledge of email system operations including password management

Experience managing print and production orders and invoices

Experience interacting with various vendors

Demonstrated ability to conduct resourceful problem solving

Excellent written and spoken communication skills
