Segra is searching for a dynamic and experienced Sales Engineer to work within our Knoxville, TN market.

We are currently seeking a Sales Engineer with a strong technical background and a passion for designing and implementing solid and impactful solutions for our customers. The Sales Engineer is an integral part of the sales organization and is positioned to support the sales team by identifying opportunities to leverage Segra products and services to increase revenue and provide a successful customer experience.

This position will benefit from an annual salary plus monthly commissions based on market quota attainment.

Required Experience:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years in Telecommunications or in a technical role.
  • Must have either (1) prior sales experience and a background in technology or networking, or (2) a background in networking with the willingness to transition into a Sales Engineer role.

Desired Skills:

  • Excellent presentation, communication, and listening skills. Business acumen and technical confidence are critical.
  • Current industry certifications supporting expertise in one or more of the following: Route/Switch, Information Security/Cyber Security, or Data Center/Cloud
  • Strong knowledge of network transport delivery and design.
  • Experience with selling and designing solutions that include WAN, MPLS, SD-WAN, Cloud Services (*aaS), Firewall, UCaaS, SIP Trunking, PRI, and Wi-Fi.

Location & Travel Requirements:
Must reside in the Knoxville, TN area or be willing to relocate prior to starting. This is not a remote role and not open to other regions/states.
