Description

Boston Government Services is seeking an Environmental Compliance Technical Review Expert to provide technical reviews of permit applications and supporting documents, technical reports and compliance plans as applicable to UPF project in Oak Ridge, TN location.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical review/support to UPF engineering and operations which includes membership on TCCB board, reviewing drawings, ECPS, providing regulatory design guidance and operational procedure technical reviews/input.
  • Coordinate with Y-12 program subject matter experts and provide support to BNI ES&H and BNI construction and startup teams in regards to regulatory guidance and coordination of Environmental Compliance reach back services, generator services (WASTE), coordination of disposal of unanticipated discoveries.
  • Provide technical information and updates on progress of UPF environmental program elements to customer (UPO).
  • Review correspondence related to UPF and regulatory agencies and coordinates UPF responses.
  • Provide oversight to BNI ESH team, construction and start up departments inclusive of document reviews, meeting attendance, and field walks.
  • Perform formal assessments which include field and document verifications.
Qualifications

Requirements:

  • B.S. of science degree in environmental engineering or closely related physical science.
  • A minimum of 10 years of progressive profession experience. Relevant experience should reflect environmental compliance related work activities, including demonstrated experience working with federal and/or state environmental regulations.
  • Requires computer experience with Microsoft Office products with emphasis on computerized database management (excel or access).
  • Requires excellent oral and written communication skills and demonstrated interpersonal skills and proficiency as a team lead.
  • Must be able to work closely with CNS and BNI management personnel, and CNS operations personnel.
  • Must be US citizen.
  • Successful drug screening.
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a security or clearance badge.
