SCOPE

The incumbent will be accountable for managing and tracking engineering changes in two systems, Matrix and SAP. This position will also manage the administration of the Material Master and BOM's. They will be responsible for the financial integrity of the Material Master and BOM's as well. Perform data analysis and report creation, generation and delivery.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBLITIES

  • Track and manage the administration of the Material Master, BOM's and routings and track engineering changes in MATRIX.
  • Analyze all of the financial aspects of the BOM, validate and input into SAP.
  • Create and maintain material Production Versions, a master data record which links together a manufactured material Routing with a BOM.
  • Maintain Works Centers.
  • Validate the financial integrity of all information received regarding the BOM's, Material Master and Routings.
  • Review Engineering Change Process for clarity and accuracy.
  • Identify potential issues/problems and facilitate discussions to resolve open issue.
  • Work with the Engineering team and the SAP SME's to maintain most current and up to date fields in SAP.
  • Query SAP to conduct research re: engineering change process.
  • Support user community by assisting engineering in creating change documents.
  • Create accurate cost estimates for engineering
  • Manage block and approval process for special state compliance and contractual requirement integrity.

Competencies of the ideal candidate

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Experience, Competencies and Education
  • Bachelor in Science Finance/Accounting or in a related fielded with qualified worked experience.
  • 3 -- 5 years with ERP systems, SAP experience a plus, MATRIX a plus.

COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS

  • Microsoft Office proficiency (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Knowledge of Showcase Query a plus.
  • Ability to adapt to a dynamic technical environment.
  • Highly motivated and the ability to work independently. Must be a strong team player.
  • Ability to multi-task and accomplish workloads efficiently. Excellent time management skills.
  • Knowledge of current product lines(S&W and T/C
  • Good command of the English language demonstrating excellent verbal and written communication skills

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Works in an office environment.
  • Able to sit and work at a computer keyboard for extended periods of time.
  • Able to lift and move up to 25 pounds occasionally.

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT

Within any of our facilities, employees may be exposed to manufacturing noise, airborne liquid chemicals, fine particulate dust, ambient temperatures, and industrial lighting. Work environment is similar to most manufacturing and distribution operations. May be exposed to excessive noise, temperatures, hazards associated with working around moving machinery, work in confined quarters, exposure to vibrations and shop lighting, continuous exposure to hot temperatures, may be humid, odors, dust, continuous exposure to mechanical hazards, and occasional exposure to chemical hazards.

The following Personal Protective Equipment is required:

  • Safety glasses with side shields and hearing protection required when on manufacturing floor

The use of additional personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required when a job task(s) is being completed in or around your assigned department or in another department, this includes safety eyewear, hearing protection, and safety footwear.
