Overview

We are seeking a Junior VOIP Engineer to join our team. As a Junior VOIP Engineer, you will work alongside experienced professionals to support and enhance our client's Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include assisting in the identification and elimination of redundant solutions, prioritizing tasks based on organizational needs, and contributing to the development of resilient telephony environments to facilitate remote work and technological advancement. Additionally, you will play a key role in the configuration, deployment, and maintenance of IP Voice and Video conference room capabilities across the enterprise. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to gain valuable experience and grow within the field of VoIP engineering.

Responsibilities

    Assist in identifying and eliminating excessive, ineffective, or duplicate VoIP solutions.
  • Support the development of resilient and robust telephony environments for remote work and advanced technologies.
  • Contribute to the evaluation of VoIP business processes, software/applications, and infrastructure effectiveness.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of VoIP Zero Trust Architecture and IPv6 Architecture.
  • Aid in the replacement, upgrade, design, and integration of Voice and Video telephony solutions.
  • Assist in configuring and deploying IP Voice and Video conference room capabilities.
  • Collaborate with SIP providers for number allocation, SIP trunking, and security assessment.
  • Perform routine Operation and Maintenance tasks to ensure 24/7 operational functionality and system security.
  • Assist in testing and troubleshooting with end users during times of degraded service.
Qualifications
  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or relevant experience
  • 0-2 years of experience
  • Strong understanding of VoIP principles and technologies.
  • Familiarity with telephony environments, routing, and dial plans.
  • Basic knowledge of network protocols and security principles.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Eagerness to learn and develop new skills in VoIP engineering.
