Are you looking for a fantastic career at Essential Utilities? We have an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled, senior level SAP Basis Administrator. Serving as a Solution Architect, this role will provide consultation, planning, and design for all components of the SAP technology landscape in order to deliver high performing, reliable, cost effective processing platforms for Essential's ERP, CRM, Business Warehouse applications. Serve as the Basis technical expert and perform the installation, integration, monitoring, and support of all SAP technologies including S/4, HANA, BW, GRC, BPC, PO, Fiori, Business Objects, Solution Manager, Landscape Transform, and SAP Router.

Essential Duties:

  • Collaborate with business users, Project Management Office (PMO), and IT Applications teams to determine SAP technology requirements. Recommend and design solutions consistent with industry best practices and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Provide technical guidance and expertise to other Basis Administrators, Applications analysts, Infrastructure engineers, Security analysts, contractors, and service providers to ensure SAP landscape is configured consistent with Essential's standards and SAP best practices.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive installation, upgrade, and maintenance plans for all SAP technologies.
  • Provide technical support on a 24/7 basis; debug and resolve complex problems. Recommend modifications to existing systems to satisfy specialized needs and configurations.
  • Perform HANA and SQL database administration, including database creation, standby system configuration, monitoring, performance management, and backup/recovery.
  • Provide capacity planning for the effective use of current systems and plan for growth of the corporation. Support the company's plans for system consolidation and standardization.
  • Participate in disaster recovery planning, testing and execution of the disaster plan when warranted in a real time/life situation and by way of annual testing.
  • Plan, install, configure, and support interfaces to third party technologies such as Redwood, PowerPlan, Blackline, Adobe Forms and other systems as required.
  • Follow security design and operational best practices to ensure the SAP landscape is operated and maintained in a secure manner.
  • Lead the development and delivery of quality architectural, configuration, and process documentation that clearly and concisely captures the key components of a solution
  • Provide expertise and knowledge in emerging technologies and assists in determining possible application to the business. Provide leadership in architecture working groups that includes architects and engineers from various technical areas.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
  • Demonstrated relevant experience may be substituted for preferred education
  • Minimum of 7 years of SAP Basis Administration experience
  • Automation and scripting experience preferred
