LG's 2024 Summer Internship Program will be a 9 week internship from June 3rd through August 2nd, 2024.

The internship will be based in office at the LG North America Innovation Campus in Englewood Cliffs, NJ and pay an hourly rate of $28.50.

The LG Internship Program is built on the philosophy of ensuring that each intern is given the opportunity to perform robust and meaningful work while gaining real-world experience.

The program will also include each intern working on an individual strategic project for the department and delivering a presentation at the program's end.

Responsibilities

  • Perform research and draft memoranda, review agreements and other legal documents, prepare for and attend client meetings, negotiations, etc.
  • Work on general corporate and legal tasks, and business unit support
  • Support review of advertising and marketing promotions
  • Create and develop contract forms and/or sales and vendor contract policies depending on client assignments, with support and input of clients and other team members
  • Work on projects to assist Legal in its support of the business. These will be process improvement type in scope - includes updating contract forms, reviewing/drafting policies, researching changes in the law, and assisting the team in supporting the business. As a result, the intern will be able to impact the business by increasing efficiency and effectiveness of legal support.
  • Work with systems and tools such as NLSS and various other internal communications systems
  • Share interest in the in-house practice of law to learn that in-house means you need to know your business as well as the law. Having good people skills - as working with clients (other LG employees) is a key to success in-house.
  • Opportunity to experience what being an in-house attorney is like on a practical level. The team would look for someone who is eager to learn and assist us achieve our goals as a department and carry out our mission to provide practical, effective, and trusted legal services to our clients.

Qualifications

  • Enrollment in a JD degree program at an accredited College/University and going into their second or third year
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams)
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Analytical and well organized
