LG's 2024 Summer Internship Program will be a 9 week internship from June 3rd through August 2nd, 2024.

The internship will be based in office at the LG North America Innovation Campus in Englewood Cliffs, NJ and pay an hourly rate of $23.50.

The LG Internship Program is built on the philosophy of ensuring that each intern is given the opportunity to perform robust and meaningful work while gaining real-world experience.

The program will also include each intern working on an individual strategic project for the department and delivering a presentation at the program's end.

Responsibilities

  • Support to the North America Tax Team, which is responsible for federal and state tax compliance, accounting, audit and planning for LG's operations in North America
  • Manipulating financial data in Excel and preparing reports
  • Interacting with LG personnel and outside consultants
  • Supporting current federal & state income and/or state & local indirect tax compliance
  • Supporting implementation of new compliance procedures for expanding business operations
  • Project may entail support of routine tax compliance requirements or implementation of new business operations, or both. Routine tax support will enable the Tax Team to complete tax returns faster and address other priorities. Supporting new business operations will help the Tax Team to implement tax compliance procedures related to online retail sales of LG products and services. Support of routine compliance and new business operations will provide good exposure to tax technical issues and business decisions that large corporations face.

Qualifications

  • Enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program at an accredited College/University
  • Rising Junior or Senior in Bachelor's degree program
  • Accounting/Business/Finance related major is preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams)
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Analytical and well organized
  • Proficiency in Global Demand Management systems, CPFR tools, and Tableau reporting a plus
  • Forecasting, Inventory Management, ERP system experience a plus
