The Construction Building Project Management Intern will:
  • Support the daily activities for the BMW real estate development and construction building project planning and execution.
  • Support large, medium, and small construction projects while utilizing and supporting transformations with current systems (development and maintenance), process improvement initiatives, on-going processes and systems, and workflows while learning BMW building and construction project management.
  • Support the BMW Project Manager in execution of project objectives.
  • Demonstrate familiarity with BMW project management systems and tools.
  • Review construction work in progress and recognize acceptable conditions.
  • Assist department improvement initiatives and enabler projects.
  • Support department projects managers and specialists in daily tasks.
  • Steer collaborative partners.
  • Plan and implement projects and tasks related to assignments from management.

Assignment Training Plan:

  • Real Estate Development and Large, Medium, Small Project Management Systems and Processes.
  • Various systems BMW: Klusa, etc. and Project Management Trainings and Applications.
  • Maturity Model and Project Delivery Models.
  • Understanding of project planning and execution topics.
  • Observation of field construction work and recognition of acceptable quality work.
  • Understanding of key Stakeholder and Interface Partner management for successful delivery of projects.
  • Experience from customer requirements to final development.
  • Knowledge of the construction and building processes and systems for BMW.
  • Building project management.
  • Working in a complex and diverse environment.
  • Complex planning and scheduling.
  • Team management skills and experience.
  • Communication and presentation aptitude.
  • Networking - building a professional and multi-cultural network
  • Understanding of BMW's Real Estate Development - Construction Business.
Qualifications

  • Degree path: [Undergrad or Masters]: Civil, Industrial, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or Business Management
  • Basic Technical/Engineering Aptitude, Self-driven, Ability to absorb information quickly.

  • Possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (not just in major).
  • Have full-time status at an accredited four-year college or university in the United States.
  • Completed at least 30 credit hours at time of application.
  • Ability to complete 3 alternating work terms for co-op positions.
  • Ability to work full-time (40 hours / week).
  • Transfer students must have a GPA from current university.
  • MUST ATTACH A COPY OF UNOFFICIAL TRANSCRIPT.
  • Complete and pass a substance abuse test before the work term.
  • THE WORK TERM DATES ARE August 12th- December 13th 2024
