As a Pathologists' Assistant, your primary responsibilities include:
*Perform dissection, description, and histologic sampling of a full range of surgical specimens
*Perform specimen photography and radiography
*Perform frozen sections and other intraoperative consultations
*Procure tissue for tumor banking and research studies
*Identify, investigate, and resolve problems related to surgical pathology
*Assist with accessioning and labeling specimens
*Provide assistance to the orientation and training of residents, fellows, new employees, and
*Pathologists' Assistant students in surgical pathology protocols and procedures
Salary Range: $86,900.00 - $197,300.00/annual
*PA (ASCP) certified or must pass PA (ASCP) exam within 12 months of hire.
*Bachelor's degree.
*Must be able to work the occasional Saturday.
*Must have the flexibility to work at both the Westwood and Santa Monica locations.
*2 or more years of relevant work experience, preferred.
