Acara Solutions is seeking an Electrical Assembler for our client located in Knoxville, TN. This role is working in a temperature controlled environment using tools to assemble electro-mechanical assemblies and subassemblies. It is a Contract to Hire opportunity - Immediate hire!

Pay Rate: $16/Hour
Schedule: Mon - Thurs, 4days / 10 hour shifts

Job Summary: Build electronic cables, harnesses and panel assemblies using processes, procedures, engineering drawings and specifications. This position typically works under general supervision and direction.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Read and build to production drawings
  • Identify and document problems on assemblies and suggest solutions.
  • Assemble electronic components, subassemblies, products, or systems.
  • Solder and install components on PC Boards.
  • Crimp pins, using both hand and semi-automatic crimping tools.
  • Solder a variety of electrical components.
  • Use heat guns to install heat shrink and/or solder splices.
  • Strip wire using thermal, hand and semi-automatic strippers.
  • Operate required machinery and equipment in a safe manner following established safety rules, maintains a neat and clean work area, follows established tool and instrument control/calibration procedures, and reports and unsafe acts or conditions to management. Assumes responsibility for his/her own safety as well as the safety of others.
  • PPE required: safety shoes, safely lifting techniques, safety gloves, safety glasses, ANSI respirator and adequate ventilation, and static dissipative shoes or ESD straps when performing certain functions of the job.



Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
High School Diploma or Equivalent


Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma
  • Electrical assembly experience preferred.
  • Skillful in all aspects of wiring, PCB assembly, diagnostics and repair.
  • Understand manufacturing and quality control processes.
  • Solder certified preferred.
  • Ability to lift at least 20 lbs.
  • PPE required: safety shoes, safely lifting techniques, safety gloves, safety glasses, ANSI respirator and adequate ventilation, and static dissipative shoes or ESD straps when performing certain functions of the job.
