EnerSys is looking for a Licensed Journeyman Electrician. The position will provide general field support for projects in the Mobile, Alabama area.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Installs or troubleshoots A/C service and equipment, and brings installation projects into quality and/or safety compliance
Performs additions, removals, and modifications on working equipment and circuits including circuit modifications, and power transition work.
Performs addition or removal of circuits on working power distribution sources
Performs equipment testing and turn-up
Marks and corrects office record drawings
Redlines construction drawings
Maintains inventories of material and equipment for regional use, and transports needed equipment to the job site
Maintains a close interface with the Alpha Regional Construction team and with Project Supervisor regarding schedules, quality, and standards
Knows and implements customers’ standards of safety, installation quality, processes, and communication methods
Escalates any issues to the Project Supervisor
Enforces standards of professionalism, quality, safety, metrics, and processes
Accurately track all time and expenses, and reports back to the project management office using approved methods
Maintains a close interface with the Alpha Regional Construction team and with Project Supervisor regarding schedules, quality, and standards
Leads the Field Installation Team, provides work assignments, and trains interchangeability for Field Installation Team
Accurately tracks all time and expenses, and reports back to the project management office using approved methods
Works mainly in the field with 75% travel to customer project site(s)
Qualifications:
Required:
High school diploma or equivalent
3-6 years’ experience in a similar position
Must possess valid Electrical Journeyman License
Must possess a valid driver’s license
Strong interpersonal, listening, and communication skills
Ability to add or remove Common Systems equipment hardware
Ability to add or remove wiring and connections
Basic skills with Microsoft Word applications and Adobe Acrobat files
Familiarity or ability to read/interpret construction drawings for cell site work and all necessary supporting equipment documentation to implement client construction standards
Performs analysis of job specifications and drawings; prepares Methods of Procedure (MOP), Job Information Memos (JIM), resolve job specification and/or drawing problems
Performs in-process and final quality inspections
Performs testing and startup
Preferred:
Associate's degree
10 or 30 hour OSHA Certification
Welding/cutting torch experience
Experience working at cell tower sites
Experience with both A/C and D/C Circuits, also D/C Power Plants (batteries and rectifiers), and Generators
