Overview

As an intern at FORVIS, you will gain valuable experience that may help you decide whether you want to start your career in audit, tax or advisory. You will work on client engagements like those assigned to our entry-level associates, gaining exposure to a variety of industries and testing out your technical knowledge. You will work alongside our senior staff and management personnel, learning from their experience as you develop your skillset.

Depending on local office needs, internships are available in audit, tax, or advisory and can be part-time or full-time. Generally, spring semester internships run from mid-January through mid-April, and summer internships can typically run from June through July or mid-August.

Responsibilities

    Performing internal audit procedures for regional and community banks timely and in a professional manner
  • Drafting audit reports and attending exit conference meetings with management
  • Meeting assigned deadlines or budgets and providing advance warning of problems
  • Coordinating with the staff, senior and manager on all phases of the engagement, including client request lists, fieldwork, and wrap up
  • Demonstrating an ability to recognize problems and propose sensible solutions, with appropriate balance between clients' needs and the firm's risk
  • Be willing and available to travel to serve clients

Qualifications

We are looking for people who have Forward Vision and:

  • Qualifications

    • This is an entry-level position that does not require prior experience
    • Strong interest in internal audit for regional and community banks
    • Communication skills to effectively relate to people of diverse backgrounds and experience levels both verbally and in writing
    • An ability to prioritize and work independently in a fast-paced environment to reach clear-set goals
    • Ability to maintain professional client relationships
    • Excellent MS Office experience preferred
    • BS from an accredited university is in progress or completed
