Job/Internship Description

This position is an entry level position where the incumbent gains familiarity with the overall design program of mission critical environments. While working under the direct supervision of a senior engineer, the incumbent performs entry-level work assignments.

Job Duties and Responsibilites:

Engineering Internship positions are available in the following divisions within M.C. Dean:

Service & Critical Support

- Reliability centered, preventive and predictive maintenance

- Full Life-cycle (design, build, operate, and maintain) expertise and capabilities

Job Requirements:

- 0-2 years of experience in construction / engineering, working towards a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Construction Management, Computer Engineering, Electrical Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Fire / Life Safety Engineering

- Familiar with the following programs is a must: MS Office Suite, MS SharePoint, AutoCAD (or similar program), Bluebeam

- The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced collaborative environment

- The ability to communicate effectively

- Willingness to travel to various project sites (if applicable)

- At times, required to access work areas that are accessible only by O.S.H.A. approved site construction ladders or stairs that are under construction

- U.S. Citizenship with Active Secret Clearance Eligibility Required

Abilities:

  1. Exposure to computer screens for an extended period of time.
  2. Sitting for extended periods of time.
  3. Reach by extending hands or arms in any direction.
  4. Have finger dexterity in order to manipulate objects with fingers rather than whole hands or arms, for example, using a keyboard.
  5. Listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
  6. Communicate information and ideas in speaking so others will understand.
  7. Read and understand information and ideas presented in writing.
  8. Apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense.
  9. Identify and understand the speech of another person.
